Obituary for Wilma June Bott (Weinmeister)

Wilma June Bott, 85, of Scottsbluff, was welcomed by her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. A scholarship fund will be set up to Camp Rock and a memorial to KCMI. Online condolences may be made by viewing Wilma’s memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Wilma was born June 3, 1937, to Henry and Mary Weinmeister. She was united in marriage with George Bott, Jr on November 17, 1957. She completed her GED in 1986 and went on to take college computer classes. In addition to working side-by-side with her husband on the farm, Wilma made certain children were delivered safely to school and back home for 40 years. She drove bus for Melbeta, Minatare, Gering and Scottsbluff. The Migrant Program was also on her bus schedule during the summer. She and George tandem drove sport activities and field trips.
Wilma’s passion for children did not stop with the bus, she also coached softball, directed the Awana group at church and was superintendent of the Sunday School. She was actively involved at Emmanuel Church, coordinating soup suppers, bake sales and pancake feeds. Her love language was food, and she will missed most for her raspberry jam.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Saunders and her two children Lindsay and Trevor; son, Doug Bott, Roxanne, his bride, and their two children, Adam and Kyle; daughter Linda Cale, Mike, her husband and daughters Olivia and Hannah; Michele’s children, Jared, Travis and Tanner Willey and three great-grandchildren; siblings, Vera Heidingsfelder, Dorothe Fox, Bill Weinmeister, Rose Hullinger, Mike Weinmeister, and Bob Weinmeister.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, George, her husband, and her daughter Michele Willey; siblings Harold Weinmeister, Henry Weinmeister, Evelyn Weinmeister, Linda Kehn, Kathryn Ray, all waiting to greet her.
