Willa Arlene (Goos) Morris, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Gering surrounded by family members on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff at a future date. Willa was born in Scottsbluff on Dec 2, 1933, the eldest of three children to Ulrich and Ruth (Buckroth) Goos. Willa attended Scottsbluff Schools graduating in the class of 1952. Willa worked at the Farmer’s Union before her marriage to Gerald (Gerry) D. Morris on Dec 19, 1953. From this union two children were born: Vicki Lynn and David Scott. Willa loved her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She had a big heart and enjoyed taking care of anyone in need. She was a devoted military wife, enduring many moves and numerous separations due to military deployments.
She is survived by her daughter Vicki Bauer of Gering; son Dave (Janice) Morris of Rapid City; four grandchildren Amy Bauer (Steve) Tjaden of Las Vegas, NV, Jason (Carey) Bauer of Russiaville, IN, Jamie Morris (Michael) Goldman of Golden, CO, and Julie Morris (Jerry) Schmidt of Rapid City, SD; seven great-grandchildren; brother Don Goos of Gering; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, loving husband Gerry, sister Barbara Powers of Pahrump, NV, and sister-in-law Lynne Goos of Gering all preceded her in death.
