Obituary for Thelma Adele Stevens

Thelma Adele Stevens, 85, of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Skyview of Bridgeport.

A luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater with Bev Adam, PMA officiating. Casual attire is requested. Interment will follow at the Oregon Trail Cemetery in Bridgeport. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bridgman Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the church.

Thelma was born on June 22, 1936 to John and Alice (Miller) Anderson in Jackson WY. She graduated from Minatare High School in 1954. She married Thomas Fulton and had six children. After the passing of her first husband she married Dennis Stevens on June 4, 1983.

Thelma dedicated her life to helping others. She worked at the Heritage of Bridgeport (Skyview) as a nurse aid before receiving her LPN license in 1981. She than worked as an LPN at the nursing home before moving to Morrill County Community Hospital where she worked till retirement.

She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Girl Scouts and Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Stevens; daughter, Christine Moss; son, Mike Fulton and his wife Jen; stepson, Tim Stevens and his wife Michelle; and grandchildren, Andrew Landen, Joshua Moss, Broc and Bret Fulton.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas J. Fulton; her sons, Wade, Kevin, Dan Fulton; daughter, Karen Landen; son-in-law, Milton Moss; and her brother, Allan Anderson.
