Scott started his early education at Highland Elementary School and continued his education at Scottsbluff High School while participating in FFA, 4-H, and Gun Club until he graduated in 1984. Scott attended Western Nebraska Community College for two years pursuing an agriculture degree. Inevitably, Scott decided to follow his true passion of farming that had begun at the age of four where Scott’s uncle let him independently drive the tractor to chop corn.
Scott’s hobbies included: hunting, motorcycle racing, four wheeling trips with friends, hanging out in his side by side, and socializing with family and friends. Scott also enjoyed tractor pulling competitions using his Grandfather Wilder’s Oliver 99 Tractor. Scott loved his Dodge Diesel Cummins pickups and Case International Tractors. In the recent years, Scott liked camping, jet skiing, and even built his own floating picnic table so that he could spend time with close friends and family.
Scott is survived by his parents Max & Connie (Wilder) Russell; Sister, Brenda (Greg) Paulson, nieces Kynedi & Rylei. Aunts and Uncles: Walt and Judy Wilder of Encampment, WY; Ann Barnett of Wichita, KS; Fred & Julia (Wilder) Schroeder of Lincoln, NE; Chuck Russell of Scottsbluff, NE; Michael and Charlene (Russell) Paris of Atkinson, NE; Laci and DeVeigh “Twerp” Moore of Scottsbluff, NE, and numerous cousins.
