Obituary for Ricky Lee Hale
Ricky Lee Hale, 69, of Mitchell, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 29, 2022. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Redz Bar in Mitchell. Rick was born March 15, 1953 to Bob and Florence Hale. In his youth he attended Mitchell Elementary and graduated from Mitchell High School. After attending Nebraska Western College, he continued his education at Colorado State University.
In 1978 Rick was married to Sally Holthus with whom he had two sons, Lucas and Cameron to whom he was a wonderful, loving father. During this time he was also blessed with his first grandchild, Brittany.
Throughout his life Rick was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting and fishing. He was also a huge fan of all Nebraska Cornhusker sports. In his later years his favorite thing was being a grandpa to his grandsons Levi, Isaac and Tyler Hale.
He is survived by his mother Florence Hale; sisters Vicky Ewing, Becky Hale Morgheim (Steve), Lori McDaniel (Butch) and Tammy Carlson; sons Cameron Hale and Lucas (Julie) Hale; grandsons Levi, Isaac and Tyler Hale; granddaughter Brittany Hale and great grandsons Jackson and Ryan Winget.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Bobby; brothers-in-law Mike Carlson and JL Ewing.
