Obituary for Rhoda Darlene Morgan (Sargent)
Rhoda Darlene Morgan, 88, of Gering, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Heritage Estates in Gering. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:30am on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Reverend Kyle Huckins officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Alliance Veteran’s Cemetery in Alliance, NE. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Rhoda’s honor be made in care of Regional West Hospice. Rhoda was born April 7th of 1934, she lived a full life for 88 years with the immeasurable love of her daughter, Linda Hergenrader, a son, Dennis Parks, and two wonderful grandchildren, Amy Dishman (Archie) and Jason Parks (Stephanie), and four great grandchildren.
Rhoda married Johnny Morgan in October of 1975 and resided in Onapa, OK for 33 years. She loved their farm life and loved gardening, particularly her flower beds. In her later years of life, she and Johnny moved back to Scottsbluff, and she spent the last eight years with her daughter and son.
Rhoda was preceded in death by her husband and son. She is survived by her daughter, grandchildren and nieces and nephew who loved her very much.
