Patricia “Patty” Eskam

Patty departed her loving family on Friday, April 2, 2021.

Patty was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on January 11, 1936 to Henry (Hank) and Lillian Knaub. Patty was confirmed as a young lady at St. John Lutheran Church. Patty attended school in Scottsbluff where she graduated from high school in 1954. For 28 years, Patty worked as the Payroll Administrator for Scottsbluff Public Schools. Once retired, Patty volunteered with several church groups and attended bible studies at Salem Congregational Church and more recently Calvary Memorial Church. One notable hobby for many years was Patty’s involvement with bowling leagues and state-wide bowling tournaments.

Patty married Ronald (Reiny) Eskam on August 5, 1956 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Patty was mother to Roxanne, Ronald and Jonathan. She and Reiny raised their children with love and devotion in Scottsluff, NE.

She is survived by her husband, Reiny, children, Roxanne (and Don) Hansen of Castle Rock, CO, Ronald (and Jennifer) Eskam of Gering, NE and Jonathan (and Rhonda) Eskam of Gering, NE. Patty’s grandchildren are, Christian (and Tina) Hansen of Castle Rock, CO, Jacob (and Julia) Hansen of Denver, CO, Matthew Eskam of Gering, NE, Brittney Eskam of Cheyenne, WY, Nicholas (and Cassy) Eskam of Gering, NE, and Jeremy Eskam of Alliance, NE. Great-grandchildren include Lilly, Carleigh, Eloise, Chandler, Pearlmae, Axton, Quentin, Lane and Kinsley. Patty is also survived by sister Geraldine (‘Jerrie’ and Francis) Yarkosky of Olathe, KS, brother Jack (and Carol) Knaub of Bennington, NE and several nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bob Armstrong and God-child, Joel Knaub.

Memorial services will be held at Calvary Memorial Church, Gering, NE on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Gary Hashley officiating. Private family inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Masks are recommended to attend the service. The service will be livestreamed on the Bridgman Funeral Home Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Calvary Memorial Church in Patty Eskam’s name.
