Obituary for Lucille Cook (Maser)

Lucille (Maser) Cook, of Cheyenne, Wyoming (formerly of Scottsbluff), passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY at the age of 96. Lucille was born March 3, 1926, to parents John Maser and Elizabeth (Reiber) Maser. She was raised on a farm near Bayard, NE with her many brothers and sisters. She received her education through the 8th grade in the Bayard Public School system.
Lucille married Reuben Hessler on November 7, 1942, with whom she had two children Peggy (Hessler) Daniels and Larry Hessler. Four years after Reuben’s sudden death, she married Harry Cook on November 15,1952 and they had two daughters Patricia (Cook) Ciccone and Cindy (Cook) Lashley. Before their retirement, Harry and Lucille owned Gary's Restaurant and Lounge in Minatare, NE for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Reuben Hessler (1948) and Harry Cook (2006), son-in-law Richard ("Mike") Daniels (2008), son Larry Hessler (2017), daughter Cyndi Lashley (2017), son-in-law Victor Ciccone (2017) as well as her siblings and their spouses, Art and Verniece Maser, Rudolph and Anna Maser, John Jr. and Gladys Maser, sister Elsie and Donald Bauer and one great grandchild, Olivia Daniels.
She is survived by daughters Peggy Daniels of Broomfield, Colorado and Patricia Ciccone of Cheyenne Wyoming, sisters Leona Henkel, Judith Michal (Richard) and Diana Siewert (Ivan), many nieces and nephews, Peggy’s children Michael, Scott, Susan, Todd, Larry’s children Yvonne, Karyn, Joe, Deric, Patricia’s child Bryan, Cyndi’s child Dale, 23 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
She was known as a tough, hardworking lady with a great big heart and she will be missed by all. Bigger, bigger!!!
