Obituary for Loretta J Hessler (Krantz)

Loretta J. Hessler, 80, of Mitchell, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Mitchell Berean Church with Pastor Jon Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time at the church. The family respectfully requests that memorials in Loretta’s honor be made in care of Mitchell Berean Church. Loretta was born in Bayard, NE to Henry and Sarah (Burbach) Krantz, Jr. She attended Bayard and Gering public schools. She attended Park Business College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Business.

Loretta married Ronald D. Hessler on November 29, 1959 and they were blessed with 2 children. She was involved in Camp Fire Girls, Booster Club, MOB, Life Groups at Church, a former Board Member of Mitchell Care Center, LB840, and a Board Member of Central Court. She very much enjoyed her Wednesday morning coffee group, and Friday morning breakfast group. She is a member of the Mitchell Berean Church and will be lovingly missed by all of her family and friends.

Loretta is survived by her children Rhonda Hessler-Keller (fiance’ Randy Strauch) and Steven (Julie) Hessler; sister Beverly Ullrich; grandchildren Jeremiah (Tara) Smith, Brittany Keller, Natasha Smith and Jayde Hessler; great-grandchildren Mayliah Smith, Charlie Ray Spellman, Arabella Spellman and one great-grandchild on the way; sister-in-law Joyce (Jim) Einfalt; brothers-in-law Bill (Mary Ann) Hessler and Darrel (Wendy) Hessler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her husband Ronald, and parents Sarah and Henry Krantz, Jr preceded her in death.
