Obituary for Linda Lee Dueker (Lesoing)

Linda Dueker (Lesoing), 78, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Her funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Rick Reisig officiating. Interment will follow at the Bayard Cemetery in Bayard, NE. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Linda’s honor be made in care of the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Linda was born on May 18, 1944, the third of three children born to Bruce and Mary (Lee) Lesoing in Alliance, NE. Linda grew up on a farm outside of Alliance, NE. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1962.
Linda and Charles (Chuck) Dueker were joined in matrimony Feb. 23, 1963, at the United Churches of Hot Springs in Hot Springs, SD. They moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1964 where they started a family.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies included sewing, country western dancing, interior design, crafting, cooking and baking.
Linda retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Albuquerque, where she worked for 23 years.
After retirement Linda and Chuck traveled the world visiting Germany and Mongolia, and took cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, Northern Europe, and up the East Coast of the United States. Linda enjoyed volunteering for the Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Railroad where she helped restore historic train cars and buildings.
She is survived by her children, Bruce Dueker of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Linnea Dueker & husband Matthew Kochis of Albuquerque, NM, and sister Arlene Mowder of Denver, CO
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, infant son, and brother-in-laws, Dave Redmon and Jack Mowder.
