Obituary for Karen Belle Osthoff (Conklin)
Karen Belle Osthoff, 77, of Scottsbluff, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her graveside memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Scottsbluff with Pastor Curt Holzworth officiating. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Karen’s honor be made in care of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Karen was born on October 19, 1945, to Kenneth Conklin and Rowena (Helmick) Conklin in Scottsbluff, NE. She grew up in Minatare, NE and graduated from Minatare High School in 1963. She married William Osthoff, Jr. in December 1963 and had three children. She was a long-time employee of Scotts Bluff County in the District Clerk's Office from where she retired. She was a wonderful cook and talented in arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband William H Osthoff, Jr.; daughter Julie Osthoff; parents Kenneth and Rowena Conklin; sister Carol Coleen Keels; brother-in-law Max Osthoff; and father in-law William Osthoff.
She is survived by her son Derek (Janel) Osthoff, daughter Lisa Osthoff, and grandchildren Sienna Osthoff, Kelsey (Trevor) Fossey, Gage Harper, mother-in-law Lorraine Osthoff, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
