Obituary for Jeffrey Allan Newman
Jeffrey Allan Newman, age 36, passed away of natural causes on January 16, 2022, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life service will be held March 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Church, 265 18th Street, Gering, Nebraska. Jeff had a gift for bringing light and joy into a room with his sharp wit and contagious humor. He was a friend to many and a stranger to no one. He was a talented cook who enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen and believed that recipes were mostly “suggestions”. He had a great love for the people who were special to him in his life, especially his fiancée, Kacy. Jeff also held a special place in his heart for animals and loved to play with the family’s pets.
He is survived by his fiancée Kacy Dillon; parents Thomas and Pauline Newman; brothers Aaron (Tracy) Luce, Matthew Fleenor, and Andrew Newman; sisters Brittany (Matt) Francis and Rebecca Baltazar; grandparents Judith Schance, Michael & Sandy Cross, and Thomas & Melody Newman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gilbert Schance, Jr.
