Jack Dean Brown, 88, of Gering, NE, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Mitchell Care Center in Mitchell, NE. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Jack was born June 4, 1934, in Scottsbluff, NE to Alfred and Lorene (Klassert) Brown. His early schooling was in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, and Oregon, graduating from high school in Dallas, OR in 1953.
He married Vivian I. Rose in December 1955 and they later divorced. He married Jeanette Matheny on Mach 24, 1962 in Santa Anna, CA.
He was a cross country truck driver for many years and also for a dairy in Colorado. He liked miniature trains, collecting sets and had a train layout for several years. He loved music and played guitar, clarinet, and saxophone in high school. He played his guitar and sang in church for many years. He had a strong faith in his Lord and used his music in the Lord’s worship.
He is survived by his three adopted sons Dean Ray, Dean Anthony, and David; and brother Robert (Charlotta) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jeannette in 2020.
