Obituary for Edna Mae Siegrist (Leffler)
Edna Siegrist, 76, of Bayard, formerly of Kersey, CO, died Wednesday, Dec 23, 2020 at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 11am on July 30, 2021 at the Eaton Evangelical Free Church in Eaton, CO. Edna was born in Greeley, CO to Herman and Esther (Lutz) Leffler. She was raised in the Eaton and Windsor, CO area. Enda graduated through a mail in school due to her health. On Feb 26, 1971 she married Thomas Siegrist. Edna enjoyed spending time with family and watching her granddaughter Gracie in all of her activities. Edna had a knack for crafting all sorts of things, painting, and wood working.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Dustin) Franklin of Gering, NE and Tina (William) Thompson of Kersey, CO; four grandchildren Gracie Franklin, Garrett, Justin, and Emily Thompson; brother James Leffler of Mission, TX; sister Dorthy Oster of Yuma, CO; sister-in-law Kathy (Larry) Berry Westover of Greeley, CO; brothers-in-law Jim (Cheryl) Siegrist of Loveland, CO and Everett Schlotthauer of Windsor, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Siegrist, grandson Alan Franklin, sisters Eileen Chrispen, Emma Schlotthauer, Janet Perry, and brothers-in-law Butch Berry and Dale Robert Oster.
