Obituary

Edna Siegrist, 76, of Bayard, died Wednesday, Dec 23, 2020 a Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Colorado. Memorial contributions can be made to the family (Barb Franklin). Online condolences may be made by viewing Edna’s memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Bridgman Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Scottsbluff is entrusted with arrangements.

Edna was born in Greeley, CO to Herman and Esther (Lutz) Leffler. She was raised in Eaton and Windsor, CO. Edna graduated through a mail in school due to spending a lot of time in the hospital because of rheumatic fever. On Feb 26, 1971 she married Thomas Siegrist. Edna enjoyed spending time with family and watching her granddaughter Gracie play volleyball and other activities she was involved in. Edna had a knack for crafting, painting, and wood working.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Dustin) Franklin of Gering, NE and Tina (William) Thompson of Kersey, CO; four grandchildren Gracie Franklin, Garrett, Justin, and Emily Thompson; brother James Leffler of Mission, TX; sister Dorthy Oster of Yuma, CO; sister-in-law Kathy Berry of Greeley, CO; brother-in-law Jim and Cheryl Siegrist of Loveland, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Siegrist, grandson Alan Franklin, sisters Eileen Chrispen, Emma Schlotthauer, Janet Perry, and brothers-in-law Butch Berry and Dale Robert Oster.

I have a lot of great memories, mostly of all of us at grandmas and grandpas house for holidays, picnics, birthdays etc.. I pray for peace for everyone and know she’s at peace now! Love to Barb , Tina and families. Love Tami
