Dylon Leslie Charvat, 30, of Scottsbluff, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. His celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 2-5pm at The Covey, 8601 Covey Court, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Online condolences may be made by viewing Dylon’s memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Bridgman Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Scottsbluff is entrusted with arrangements.

Dylon blessed Codel and April Charvat on September 20, 1992, In Denver, Colorado. He arrived 2 months early because he was so eager to see the world and his family weighing in at 3 pounds 14 ounces. In 1994, his sister Taylor “Sissy” was born, and he was the proudest brother of her. As they got older, they became best friends. He would do anything for her, and he would put up with anything from her. In 2001, his little brother, Tryan arrived, and he fell in love with him immediately. From the moment he first held him in his arms, he couldn’t wait to take him and teach him everything he knew.

Dylon enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything in the world. Not a day would pass by without him talking to his family. His love for hunting and fishing allowed him to spend countless hours with his dad, Tryan, Nathan, Chris, Jeffrey, Austin, Grandpa and many other family and friends. Of course, it wasn’t all about the harvest, it was about the company and the time he had with them. He never had a problem waking up before dark to get ready to spend time with them as it was something he looked forward to.

Outside of hunting, Dylon enjoyed bull riding, playing with his nephews and bowling. Dylon was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling with three of his best friends (aka, mom, dad, Tryan) and his cousins on a league every chance he could. In 2021, he nearly achieved a 300-game coming in at a 299. Dylon and his mom, April, had a bond that could never been broken or touched by anyone. He was her first born and she cherished him with every ounce in her body and she was his own personal angel. Dylon looked forward to bowling with his mom and they would make it their own personal competition as to who would beat the other person. It didn’t matter what they were doing, they made sure they were with each other as much as possible. She is the keeper to all his secrets, and he told her everything. They had their morning Snap Chats that they sent each other, conversations during lunch time daily. Dylon was and will always be a mama’s boy.

Dylon also enjoyed spending time with his best friends, Tanner Dake and Austin Bernard. Whether they were just hanging out, playing games or hunting, getting into some mischief, every visit was a treasured one. Through Tanner, Dylon met the love of his life and knew he had found the person to spend his life with, Lexi Dake. If you knew Dylon, once he had his eye set on something, he made sure to do whatever it takes to make his dream come true and in June 2020, Lexi and Dylon became engaged and started making plans for their new life together. In 2021, he decided to move to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to start a life for his family. In July 2022, Dylon and Lexi got married at The Covey in the presence of their two boys, Bentley and Waylon and their family and friends. The Dake family became his second family, and he loved every moment with them! Together Dylon and Lexi share an abundance of things they loved to do with one another playing darts, cornhole, going to concerts, playing video games, smoking new foods on the grill and ultimately shared a love for football, being Kansas City Chiefs fans where they were going to spend their honeymoon in December of 2022. Dylon was so proud to be a dad and cherished every minute he had with his boys riding four wheelers, fishing, family game nights and doing his best to show them that the things in life worth cherishing are not things you can buy but the time you spend with the ones you love is what matters. Dylon had the ability to make friends with everyone and once you were a friend, you were always a friend, no matter what age. Anytime you had the opportunity to spend time with him, when your visit was up, you were blessed with a firm handshake or a bear hug. You always knew you were loved and appreciated by him.
