Karen and family,
Such a loss! I am so thankful that i was able to visit with you for a short time at the hospital Thursday. Kent was a special man. You may remember that he took piano lessons with a men's group at Music & More. I cannot tell you what a fun experience that was for me. The guys were amazing and so much fun. I felt that I really got to know them and what a pleasure that was.
You will be in our prayers. You were so blessed to have each other!

Karen and Kirk and the rest of the Harvey family, I am very sorry to hear of Kent's passing. Throughout high school and junior college, I was welcomed to your home regularly and felt a part of the family. Kent's fatherly presence helped me through those formative years when I didn't have a father of my own. His broad mind helped me to explore beyond my basketball least a little. An obvious leader who could help students find their way, Kent's impact has truly changed the world and certainly changed mine. Specifically I vividly recall some discussions on travels and interest in other lands, a certain spark that led to my international career. Also, today I find myself as an Associate Professor helping others find a part of their path through higher education. A great man, a great life, and a great family! Stay strong and close! And thank you Kent for your enormous impact on this kid's life! Best Regards, Jon Garrison
