Obituary for Clinton Robert "Clint" Brunz

Clinton Robert Brunz, 89, of Scottsbluff, went to his eternal resting place on April 2, 2023, at the Western Nebraska Veterans Home. Cremation has taken place. His Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on April 10, 2023, at First Assembly of God Church in Scottsbluff at 2:00 pm with Pastor Leroy Wyre officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials can be made to Western Nebraska Veterans home in Scottsbluff or First Assembly of God Church, Scottsbluff. Clint was born December 13, 1933, in Mitchell, NE to William Brunz and Eva Meyer. He was one of 6 children raised in the family business, Brunz Blacksmith shop. Clint was married to Caroline Bolger on June20, 1954 to which 3 children were born.

Clint was drafted into the Army on July 10, 1956. He served 13 months in Germany and numerous bases in the United States. He was honorably discharged on July 10, 1962. After discharge he joined the Army National Guard and worked with his family at the Brunz Blacksmith shop. In 1964 he went to Great Western Sugar where he worked for 41 years. After retirement he went to work for Schmidt Equipment in Mitchell. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Scottsbluff. Clint enjoyed fishing, camping, welding, reminiscing with friends and family and sitting with his beloved fur baby Ellie Mae.

Clint is survived by his children Kevin (Cheryl) of Scottsbluff, Pam (Mike) Brunner of Gering, and Kimberley (Wesley) Wright of Mitchell; grandchildren Kayleigh (Mike) Nyquist of Laramie, WY, Jeff (Megan) Brunner of Wellington, CO, Theresa (Cameron) Cook of Pierre, SD and Austyn Wright of Scottsbluff, NE; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Betty Kelly of Gering, NE; numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces; and his furry fur baby Ellie Mae.

Clint was proceeded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, ex-wife, and special friend Bev Satur.
