Obituary for Caroline June "Carol" Wimmer (Hawley)
Caroline “Carol” June Wimmer, 83, of Gering, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at her home. Her graveside funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday April 20th at Bayard Cemetery. Carol passed away April 16, 2021 after a brief illness. Carol was born June 9th, 1937 to Elijah R. and Ida Pearl (Harsin) Hawley. She married James Edward Wimmer June 18th 1955 in Texas. Carol was a wonderful and caring Mom to Crystal and Devin, and a loving grandmother to Chuck. She was employed by Target for many years.
She is survived by her son Devin, grandson Chuck and his children Talia Menezes, Crystal and Cody Marquez, Bret Menezes, and Lance Menezes. Her sister Shirley Bauer, brother Robert and Jan Hawley, sister-in-law Julie Hawley, and aunt Marge Cape.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter Crystal Menezes, brother Ray, and one niece.
