Obituary for Alethea Grace Sterkel
Alethea Grace Sterkel, 5 months old, went to her heavenly home on December 31, 2022. Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at The Rock Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Tyson Lambertson officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Alethea’s honor be made in care of her family to be designated at a later time. Alethea was born August 7, 2022 at Regional West Medical Center weighing 7lbs 15oz. Her mother, Aaliyah, was in labor for 27 hours when Alethea blessed everyone with her presence.
She loved taking baths, listening to music and watching cartoons. She also enjoyed sucking on her fingers, pulling hair and pinching. At her age, she was very advanced and loved sitting up by herself and was quite the chatter box. She also enjoyed activities with her mother such as going to the Spooklatular for Halloween and seeing all the Christmas lights for Christmas and meeting Santa Clause and the Grinch. She loved being held and loved receiving kisses.
She loved the attention she would receive get from her Uncles Emilio and Raheem as well as her Nana Maria, Grandpas Eric and Joe and her aunt Erica. She enjoyed playing with her older cousins.
All though this was very unexpected the sound of your laugh and the smile on your face will forever be in our hearts and minds. Alethea will be laid to rest with her Grandpa Larry Sterkel.
