Albert Vernon Dillon was born on July 30, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri to Benjamin and Inez. He preferred to be called ‘Vern’. He served in the United States Navy; was an electrician at the NAS Alameda shipyards. Worked in a sheet-metal company; worked for a mobile home company, drove truck, and basically was a ‘jack of all trades; master of none’. He was an ordained minister, a long-standing member of The American Legion and enjoyed things like football, wrestling, game shows, big fan of westerns, and loved shopping. Shopping was always his social hour.
He is survived by daughters and sons, Estelle (Jim), Sean, Christopher, Colette (Paco), 10 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Inez; two sisters, Lila and Juanita; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
